About Us
The Besotes Boat club was originally founded as a means for owners of Besotes Boats to keep in contact with each other. The club is based around the love for these Stockton based boats, built by the George and Charlie Besotes. Members of the club attend various boat shows most of which are sponsored by the Antique and Classic Boat Society(ACBS). There is also an annual Besotes Boat meet which has been held in various places, such as Folsom Lake, and the San Joaquin Delta.
The current goals of the club is an attempt to restore the history surrounding these boats. Following suit with that goal the club actively searches for the whereabouts and condition of the some two hundred Besotes that were manufactured.
